Garrett Perez, a Tax Manager with Seiler LLP, a prominent Silicon Valley / San Francisco-based accounting firm, was selected as a new Board Member of Building Futures Now. The organization provides academic support, social-emotional development, and experiential learning to students in the Ravenswood City School District in East Palo Alto and East Menlo Park. Founded in 1992, the organization serves grades 4 through 12 via one-on-one support, tutors, mentors, group projects, service learning and field trips.
“I’m honored to receive this appointment with Building Futures Now,” says Mr. Perez. “I’ve seen first-hand the difference their programs have in the lives of lower income children and their families,” he adds. “The organization helps students to accelerate their academic progress and instills the values of hard work, goal orientation and success, both academically and socially.
Mr. Perez’s background includes more than eight years experience providing tax and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, families and their closely held entities. He specializes in matters related to income tax, estate planning and wealth preservation and has an extensive background in stock option and compensation planning. His clients include technology company founders and executives at some of Silicon Valley’s most prominent companies, as well as real
estate developers, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and professional athletes. He is currently the co-chair of Seiler’s emerging wealth development group.
