Seiler LLP, one of the nation’s leading advisory, tax, and accounting firms in the high-net-worth and closely held business spaces, announced today that it has promoted Anne Thompson, formerly the firm’s director of finance, to chief financial officer.

“Anne has overseen a multitude of pivotal initiatives during her time here, along with a finance team that has had to remain nimble and forward thinking during some rather unusual events over the last couple of years,” said Chief Executive Officer George D. Marinos. “We look forward to her continued stewardship as our growth marches on.”

As chief financial officer, Thompson will lead all aspects of Seiler’s finances. Her responsibilities include financial reporting along with strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting. In addition, she oversees the firm’s billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions. She also serves as an advisor to the firm’s executive committee, providing insightful, dynamic support during the firm’s accelerating growth over the past several years.

“My work at Seiler is extremely rewarding both professionally and personally,” said Thompson. “Not only have I had the opportunity to work alongside exceptional professionals at this unique firm, but I have also enjoyed growing and expanding my team, as well as the firm’s internal finance function. I am looking forward to my new role.”

Thompson, who has over 25 years of experience, joined Seiler in 2016. Before that, she held executive, controller, and accounting positions, most of which were with professional services firms. Thompson earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Houston.
